LAX Parking Guide: On-Airport vs. Off-Airport

Central Terminal Area garages, LAX Economy and Budget Parking, Van Nuys FlyAway, private lots with shuttles, and tips for parking at Los Angeles International Airport.

On-airport vs. off-airport at LAX

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is run by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). Official parking includes eight parking structures in the Central Terminal Area (CTA) across from the terminals, the LAX Economy Parking garage, the LAX Budget Parking lot, and the Van Nuys FlyAway lot for bus riders. Private companies also run lots around Century and Sepulveda Boulevards, with shuttles to the terminals. This hub sums up both and links to our deeper guides.

Heads-up: flylax.com says reserved parking can save up to 60% off drive-up rates and guarantees a space. Rides from Taxi, Uber and Lyft leave from LAX-it next to Terminal 1, not from the terminal curbs. Check flylax.com/parking-at-lax before you go.

On-airport parking

Drive-up rates as listed on flylax.com (November 2026), including the 10% Los Angeles City Parking Occupancy Tax. Rates change, so confirm on flylax.com.
