This guide covers the parking options listed on the airport's official website, what to check before you book, and how to plan your arrival so you're not rushing to your gate.
ParkNJet is an independent guide and does not operate any parking at PHL. According to phl.org, the on-site airport parking facilities are operated and managed by the Philadelphia Parking Authority. Details change, so always confirm current information on the official PHL parking page or the provider's website before you go.
Here's what the airport's official website lists, plus off-airport parking run by private companies nearby.
On-airport garages are the closest option to the terminals. phl.org lists two types:
The height restriction is 6'2". Lots and Garages on phl.org
PHL's longer-term, lower-cost option, with the entrance at 4400 Island Ave. According to phl.org:
phl.org notes that several private short- and long-term lots operate near the airport and run shuttles to and from the terminals. Many can be reserved online.
Each company sets its own prices, shuttle hours, and cancellation rules, so compare a few. See the booking sites we list on our home page.
PHL's parking page offers an online reservation option called PHL Reserve, at parking.phl.org. Check availability and terms for your dates there.
According to phl.org, you can reserve online or drive up, drop your car at the curb when you depart (available at all terminals), and pick it up curbside at baggage claim when you return.

PHL has several terminals (A-West, A-East, B/C, D, E, and F, as shown on PHL's Our Airlines page). Check which one your airline uses on PHL's Our Airlines page before you leave home so you know where your shuttle should drop you off.
If you're using a shuttle, confirm when it runs and how often, especially for early-morning or late-night flights. Leave extra time for the shuttle ride on top of check-in and security.
Holidays, school breaks, and long weekends can be busy. Reserving ahead can help you lock in a spot. Read the cancellation policy before you pay.
It often can be, but not always. Compare the total cost, including any taxes and fees, for your dates before deciding. PHL's Economy Lot rate, as listed on phl.org, already includes taxes and fees, which makes it a useful baseline.
Add time for parking, waiting for the shuttle, and the ride to the terminal, on top of your airline's recommended arrival time.
PHL's parking page links to PHL Reserve, its online reservation option, at parking.phl.org. The Economy Lot itself is described on phl.org as first come, first served. Off-airport companies generally take reservations on their own websites.
It depends on who you booked with. Check the cancellation policy before you book.
PHL has a free Cell Phone Waiting Lot on airport property, reached from the Arriving Flights roadway. Drivers must stay with their vehicles, and the wait time is limited to 30 minutes.
Per phl.org, the height restriction in the garages and Short-Term parking is 6'2". Oversize vehicles that can't enter the garages can use the Economy Lot, but buses, trailers, semis, and vehicles over 9,000 pounds GVW are not permitted there.
Check the official airport options, compare a few booking sites for off-airport lots, and book with the provider that fits your trip.
